Rail Alliance Community Partner delivering 2 days of wheel lathe demonstrations at Rail Live

Yellow Rail Limited are delighted to be exhibiting at this year’s Rail Live exhibition.  This is the first time the innovative Railathe – the portable wheel lathe system, and the Mobile Wheel Reprofiling Service will be open to the public to view in operation.

The Railathe, a wheel lathe system that can be deployed in a range of settings and involves the reprofiling of wheels without the need to remove the axles, was launched at Innotrans 2018 when Yellow Rail exhibited with Rail Alliance at the show.

Following significant investment in R&D, the Mobile Reprofiling Services was launched in January 2019, in collaboration with VTG, Europe’s largest wagon owner.  This service supports the effective reprofiling of stranded vehicles in the field and centralised wheel turning operations.

“Following the success of our Railathe launch at Innotrans 2018 on the Rail Alliance stand, exhibiting at Rail Live, an outdoor railway show, is very fitting” said Customer Account Director, Cat Appleby.  “The focus on real demonstrations means that visitors benefit from a genuine all-round experience. By bringing our lathe and our special MWRS patented van to the show, visitors can see exactly how the equipment works whether they are seeking a flexible wheel lathe solution to support depot environments or are interested in how the service can support their fleet availability”

Yellow Rail are exhibiting in J Zone, stand 55.
