The mission of Working Eye is simple; to solve the careers knowledge and skills crisis that we face in the UK, not just for today, but for generations to come. To achieve this, a radical new approach has been developed and extensively researched that engages, stimulates and motivates teenagers about the world of work. Its filmic content will be delivered to smartphones, tablets and laptops and provided free to schools for use in lessons, with additional services available by subscription or sponsorship.
There are no pages of text, just an easy to navigate library of short films that tell you everything you need to know about career choices and job options. Like what subjects to focus on at school; what exams you’ll need, if any; how much money you might earn; what your prospects might be and what to do next. There are links to courses, apprenticeships and live jobs by area. This sea change demystifies the world of work and will be critical to the current skills needs of the rail sector.
Long term, Working Eye will become the ‘go to’ brand for adult career discovery too, with a view towards a truly global brand.
