Shifting customer profiles and needs are challenging the way we run passenger and freight services on the UK railways. Combined with urgent investigation of cost-efficient, value-driven delivery models required to sustain even minimal operator profits, considerations for vehicle fleets are in close scrutiny.
How can we adapt at the pace required to accelerate productivity and efficiency: are there core elements of vehicle engineering that provide a critical mass for change, and how should maintenance practice align and embrace them?
Following on from our previous Design Conference, this online session for Rail Alliance members features speakers representing key engineering focus, aiming to raise awareness of the crucial role the supply chain will play in the concerted transformation of how we deliver fit-for-purpose, sustainable vehicle fleets.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a Rail Alliance members event, – you may be able to register for this event under your complimentary Silver Membership, however if you do not continue as a Silver Member beyond the 30th of March 2021 you will be contacted to let you know that a payment may be due to attend (either for a pay as you go ticket or by upgrading to a Silver Membership for the rest of the year).
