The UK’s railway network is the hardest working in Europe, with pre-Covid passenger capacity stretching its ageing infrastructure to its limits. With a multi-billion pound upgrade plan underway, rail connections have a crucial role in moving people and goods, connecting the UK’s industrial capabilities as a cohesive function of economic growth.
Civil Engineering operations build and maintain the backbone of this vision and this session for Rail Alliance members will explore delivery methods and materials from both traditional and more contemporary perspectives.
With a huge share of Network Rail’s investment, we will learn about its Eastern Region’s project bank and the drive to deliver efficiency through greater engagement and interaction with its supply chain.
Meanwhile, spearheading HS2’s delivery, the Eiffage Kier Ferrovial BAM JV is embracing fresh thinking, new technology and collaborative solutions through supplier diversity.
We are pleased to welcome senior representatives from both organisations, with a view to establishing more visibility and engagement of supply chain capabilities through this event:
Ingrid Norman, Head of Category Management, Network Rail Eastern Region
Chris Read, Senior Supply Chain Manager, EKFB JV
Pascal Paschalidis, Head of Innovation & Business Improvement, EKFB JV
Daniel Pyke, Rail expert and railway business development professional, Kloeckner Metals UK
All this, plus insight, trends and solutions from appropriate supporting businesses consistent with the subject.
