The Network Rail Plant Awards 2018 – sponsored by Shannon Rail

Since the awards were launched four years ago, the Network Rail Plant Awards at Rail Live has gained significant momentum and is now a major highlight of the event.  Far for being just another award, it offers suppliers and individuals with a prime opportunity to be truly recognised against real and measured attributes of excellence.

Steve Featherstone, IP Track Director at Network Rail said, “ As we drive forward into the final year of CP5 and prepare for the volume deliverables for CP6,  Network Rail and the Rail Alliance, come together to celebrate the success and achievement of our Plant Suppliers. The Rail Live Event and associated Rail Plant Awards Event is a great opportunity to recognise those Tier 2 Plant Suppliers who have excelled in their support of the safe and efficient delivery of our maintenance, renewal and enhancement programmes.

We have seen a real step change in the Performance and associated Reliability of our Plant Supply Chain. These suppliers provide Network Rail and our Principal Contractors with a key aspect of our professional and sustainable delivery of our work programmes. Without their continued engagement and commitment to performance, we would not be able to deliver our programme of work. We will look to recognise and congratulate those Suppliers and their people in a variety of awards from individuals to the collective performance of their business. These based on innovation, sustainability and performance of their service. We look forward to the Awards Event and the deserved recognition for a key aspect of our success, our Plant Supply Partners”

Rail Rugby 2018

This summer the Railway Children invite you to join us for a day of rugby playing, team building, profile boosting and fund raising alongside Rail Live, the largest outdoor show in Europe. The event brings the entire industry together to showcase rail expertise to the world, so it’s the perfect chance to prove your skills on the pitch by entering a team into Railway Children’s annual touch rugby tournament – with the winners being crowned in front of a huge audience from across the industry.

Why not give it a try?

Whether you’ve played before or not, it’s not too late to get a company team together and take on the challenge, at the same time as raising vital funds to help Railway Children fight for vulnerable children in Africa, India and the UK. Rail Rugby at Rail Live will be a packed day of sport and socialising, with the post-championship celebrations featuring a networking dinner, great music, an auction for fabulous prizes and an after-dinner speech from rugby legend Will Greenwood.

An opportunity too good to pass

Entry costs £1,500 per team of 10 which includes post-match entertainment and food (but not drinks) and your support really will help Railway Children change children’s lives. Contact the charity now to enter your team for Rail Rugby 2018 on June 20th in Stratford. Email k.mason@railwaychildren.org.uk or call 01270 757 596 to sign up today and we’ll see you there!
