Prior to joining the Rail Alliance, Robert was an engineering apprentice (in his youth), a secondary school mathematics and games teacher (in his twenties) and, most recently, he has enjoyed a successful military career leaving the Royal Air Force after 21 years in the rank of Wing Commander. As a training specialist, he has experienced all aspects of the training and development lifecycle, including: analysing, designing, staging, validating and evaluating training for the RAF.
Robert is the man who actually makes things happen! His responsibilities include the networking meetings, support to members at conferences, seminars and exhibitions both at home and abroad. He also leads the European Rail Clusters Initiative (ERCI) efforts on behalf of the United Kingdom and last but by no means least, he is our fully accredited BS11000 Facilitator (the worlds first national standard for Collaborative Business Relationships).
