Transport Skills Strategy Moves Forward
GoSkills, the sector skills council for passenger transport in the UK and the employers’ voice on skills and productivity in the sector, has launched a new strategy as a result of extensive consultation with over 1,100 employers. The plan sets out the skills challenges for each of the key industries within passenger transport, including: aviation, bus, coach, community transport, driver training, light rail, rail (operations and engineering), taxi and private hire, transport planning as well as UK Waterways.
