The next IMechE rail industry event, “Moving Millions – Major Rail Projects 2010” takes place in London on 20 April 2010. As part of its outreach programme the Rail Alliance is one of the IMechE’s supporting organisations for its Railway Industry Events. This partnership enables those Rail Alliance members who are not IMechE members to book places on this event for the same price as IMechE members – a saving of £65.80 (incl VAT) over the non-member price. This seminar addresses the demand for a forum to exchange ideas and to learn about the engineering management challenges of major rail projects and to view rail as an integrated system with interface management of infrastructure and rolling stock.
The aim is that attendees will learn about the range of challenges facing both surface and sub-surface rail projects and find out about best practice in the management of capital projects. Speakers from a number of major London rail projects will illustrate engineering challenges and potential solutions.
Attending this event will help you to:
- Network with others in similar sectors
- Understand the challenges applicable for both surface and sub-surface rail projects
- Scope the deliverables of both the infrastructure and rolling stock requirements to meet capacity requirements
