Background

The Rail Alliance is very pleased to confirm that Sam Brunker, Network Rail's Technology Introduction Manager will address our July 7th Networking Meeting to provide an overview of the Network Rail Product Approval Process, answer questions from the floor and be available for a limited No of One2One sessions afterwards with members*.

With Network Rail holding the largest budget's in the UK rail industry, obtaining their formal approval of your product can be a critical stage in the development of your business within the sector; assuming that your product is something they need, want or offers them an innovative or more cost effective alternative to current solutions.

Sam Brunker will provide an overview of the processes involved whilst highlighting Network Rail's expectations of both products and suppliers.

*Of interest to all manufacturers with ambitions to supply our national rail infrastructure owner and controller, places for both the networking meeting and the One2One sessions are limited. Whilst this event is open to all, priority will be given to subscribing Full Members of the Rail Alliance on a first come, first served basis.

Don't be afraid to ask your fellow attendees for specific help in better understand the sector or identifying areas where your offering could find a niche.

Venue

This event will be held at the impressively restored Edwardian jewel that is Chiltern Railway's Birmingham Moor St Station. Adjacent to Selfridges and the Bull Ring shopping centre, Birmingham Moor St Station is only a five minute walk from Birmingham New St Station and our meeting room is just off of the platform. As such it provides a perfect city-centre location with easy access by main line rail services from all over the country or by car (with adjacent car parking available at the Bull Ring car park).
