In this session we will be taking a deeper look at the need for and implications of Cyber Security in the rail sector, with a distinct angle on the implication for the passenger, from the vehicular to the GDPR point of view.
Hosted by and featuring the University of Surrey the event will also feature speakers from Airbus, Cognizant, Synectics and Razorsecure and the NCC group plus the RSSB and our counterparts from i-Trans (of the Eurail Cluster network). As such this event promises to intertwine cutting-edge industrial capability with academic thought-leadership alongside both territorial and industrial cross-border considerations.
The Surrey Centre for Cyber Security (SCCS) is one of 14 Academic Centres of Excellence in Cyber Security Research recognised by the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC). The expertise of SCCS includes trusted systems, privacy and authentication and secure communications.
Cyber security is increasingly relevant in the rail industry where emerging innovations include intelligent trains and real-time customer service using mobile technology is being developed. SCCS is pleased to host this Rail Alliance meeting and we look forward to welcoming you to our campus.
